Can we get short-term parking permits for attendees at additional cost?

  • UniMelb does have paid parking for out-of-term times IIRC.
  • RMIT can be difficult for parking and inspectors fine vehicles with great enthusiasm.
  • Melb Conf Centre has multiple multi-storey carparks nearby including crown casino, all offer early bird (or after 9:30 for crown)
  • Ballarat Uni has LOADS of free parking (or at least did last time i was there)
  • Melbourne town hall has lots of parking nearby, but is all pay

Otherwise, let's really recommend public transport. if we're going to supply weekly tickets for attendees, then lets make sure people know.

Consider parking for organisers. During the conference organisers need to come and go (ALOT), so 3 for free, cheap parking options are not always available if you are moving your car a few times a day to run errands. Also gets expensive for organisers parking, consider reimbursement for this.
