- Need to factor that Monday the 28th is likely to be Australia Day. http://www.business.vic.gov.au/BUSVIC/STANDARD/1001/PC_50544.html#IntNav1 Yep - it's posted as a public holiday.
This is really our only option if we're going to host LCA at unimelb.

DanielStone: Jan seems best. July isn't an option due to OLS, so our only choices are:
- December -- students still around, right before Christmas.
- January -- no students at all. Hot.
- April -- no students for a week. Good weather. Harder to get people in than January (wrt holidays etc).

I agree with that. Jan is the best time for us - although towards the end (so there isn't a *complete* mad rush over new years)

Yep, in my origional mail I pointed out three weeks that are possible:
- Week starting Monday the 15th is perhaps a little early
- Week starting Monday the 22nd would fit the "tradition" but has Australia day on the Friday which could be a problem
- Week starting Monday the 29th would mean we'd go in to Febuary which might be a little late for some people
